5G is seemingly all the news, all the focus and all the budget for Mobile Operators. Today's initial 5G deployments are radio solutions that leverage the existing 4G core. Accuris Network's customer, Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS), has launched a new Universal Wi-Fi Access Solution to allow mobile network operators to quickly offer access across the Deutsche Telekom Wifi footprint including in-flight Wifi, without the need for their own Wifi platform.

Both highlight again the growing everyday risks to users in being knowingly (or unknowingly) attached to open Wi-Fi networks where their usage can easily be monitored, intercepting sensitive personal data such as Credit card numbers, Bank and Email account information.
